Hello, My name is Rick and I am a retired paramedic turned artist/ stay at home dad.
After leaving EMS my life started falling apart, my life long collection of unresolved trauma became too much for me to handle alone, I knew that I didnt want to continue living the way I was. That’s when I found Ketamine as a treatment for Post Traumatic Stress, I was approved and started receiving my treatment at the end of 2021.
The first treatment changed everything and for the first time in my life my mind was silent. The only thoughts I had were the ones I actively wanted to have. Ketamine gave me the help I needed to deal with all of the things that refused to let me go, it allowed me to see who I really was beneath all the things I had been through. It showed me that It was possible to live a life without intrusive thoughts. I knew that I had to share my story to help inspire others to find the things they need to heal from so they can live a life they love.
Ketamine is also what led to me discovering my artistic talent. Not long after getting my first six ketamine infusions I was no longer able to afford them, which led to me picking up my tablet to help cope with my mental health. Over the Past 3 years I have been on my personal journey of overcoming the things that were holding me back and now I am at the point where I can share what I have learned, and how much every aspect of my life has changed because of it. It’s time to stand up and speak out to help inspire others to keep moving and to not give up.
